Glossary Term: Supplier Settlement Run

Acronym: SSR

A supplier settlement run is a process that reconciles the differences between the electricity a supplier has contracted to purchase and the actual demand of its customers. Suppliers estimate the electricity demand of their customers. The actual electricity usage is recorded. Financial adjustments are then made to account for the differences between contracted and actual usage.
