How to manage your own performance

Glossary

This page provides details on how you can prevent issues and improve your management of risk.

Check your performance

Registered Suppliers can get near real-time access to Settlement data through the Confidential Assurance Reporting Platform (CARP). The data displayed on CARP is the same as the data used by members of the BSC Assurance team to carry out the Performance Assurance Framework (PAF).

How to get access

CARP is a secure platform. You will need to contact the Category A Authorised Signatory within your organisation, who will be able to grant you access via the Kinnect Customer Solution.

More about CARP

Compare your performance

Peer comparison data shows how your performance compares to others in the industry. This data is a useful tool to staying compliant.

You can use it to:

  • see how you compare to similar Parties on key Settlement metrics
  • identify areas for improvement – see where you’re falling behind and take early action
  • avoid additional checks and activities by achieving strong performance

For more on this data, see:

Tell us if something changes (Material Change)

A Material Change is a significant change to your processes or systems that might prevent you fulfilling your obligations under the Code.

If there is a Material Change, people with Qualified Person status may need to re-qualify. If this applies, you will need to re-qualify before the Material Change is implemented.

If you are unsure about the need for re-qualification, please contact your Operational Support Manager (OSM) or the Qualifications Team via Elexon Support.

You can find more information on the scenarios that could trigger re-qualification in this Guidance Note:

If you are selected for an audit

Find out how the audits work and what you will need to do if selected.

If you are identified as non-compliant

There are a number of actions that you and Elexon may need to take if you are found to be non-compliant.
