Glossary Term: Relevant Instrument
A relevant instrument typically refers to any document or legal tool that has a direct impact on the interpretation, application, or enforcement of a law or regulation.
In the case of the BSC, “Relevant Instrument” is explained under Section H4.1.1 in the following way:
- the Act and all subordinate legislation made under the Act
- the Data Protection Legislation and all subordinate legislation made under it
- any Licence and any determination or notice made or issued by the Authority pursuant to the terms thereof
- the Capacity Market Rules
- any Nuclear RAB Legal Requirement
and whether under any of the foregoing or otherwise, all authorisations, approvals, licences, exemptions, filings, registrations, notarisations, consents, guidelines and other matters which are required or which a Party acting in accordance with Good Industry Practice would obtain or comply with for the purposes of the Code, of or from any Competent Authority.
