Glossary Term: Relevant Capacity

Relevant capacity refers to the amount of electricity generation capacity that is available and reliable to meet the demand, especially during peak times. BSC Section K: Classification and Registration of Metering Systems and BM Units explains how it is calculated. 

BSC defined definition

(i) if GCi + DCi is greater than zero, GCi ; (ii) otherwise, DCi . Where GC is Generation Capacity and DC is Demand Capacity; has the meaning given to that term in Section K3.4.8
