Glossary Term: Public Registration Service
Public (Energy Supplier) Registration Service (PRS) has been renamed as Supplier Meter Registration Service except within the Half Hourly Instruction Processing Specification (HHIPS) and Market Domain Data (MDD).
PRS Agents send registered Metering System data to the appointed Data Aggregators. Data Collectors send EAC/AAs and the Metering System data they have been using to the Data Aggregators they consider appointed. Using the registered Metering System data provided by PRS Agents and the EAC/AAs provided by the registered Data Collectors, Data Aggregators perform aggregation for each Initial Settlement and Reconciliation.
Changes to registered Metering System data are received from PRS Agents in the form of Instructions. These are the Instructions that must be applied to keep the applicable subset of the Data Aggregator’s database in line with the applicable subset of the PRS Agent’s database. In order to prevent these databases becoming too far out of step, from time to time Refresh Instructions are received from the PRS Agents.
