The British Grid Systems Agreement is an agreement made between the Transmission Company, Scottish-Hydro Electric PLC, and Scottish Power plc. It regulates the relationship between their respective grid systems

The New Electricity Trading Arrangements (NETA) was introduced on March 27, 2001. NETA aimed to create a more competitive and efficient electricity market in England and Wales. The British Electricity Trading and Transmission Arrangements (BETTA) was launched in April 2005 and extended the principles of NETA to include Scotland, creating a single electricity market for Great Britain.
