Glossary Term: Balancing Mechanism Reporting Service
Acronym: BMRS
The Balancing Mechanism Reporting Agent (BMRA) collects and publishes information about the electricity system in Great Britain. The data is presented on a dedicated Elexon website, previously called BMRS but now called the Insights Solution. The Insights Solution delivers Elexon’s obligation under the BSC to act as the Balancing Mechanism Reporting Agent (BMRA) by collecting, displaying and providing wholesale market data.
