The Market Index Definition Statement (MIDS) has been reviewed to ensure that the Market Index Data used to calculate the reverse price is providing a reasonable reflection of the price of wholesale electricity in the short term market.
The Imbalance Settlement Group (ISG) is seeking views from the industry on the suitability of the current Individual Liquidity Threshold, Timeband weightings and Product weightings as defined in the MIDS.

2013 Review of GSP Group Correction Scaling WeightsRead More
This consultation seeks respondents’ views on revised Grid Supply Point (GSP) Group Correction Scaling Weights based on updated analysis of errors in the Non Half hourly and Half Hourly markets.
GSP Group Correction is the mechanism that adjusts Suppliers’ Metered Volumes in each GSP Group so that they, in aggregate, match the GSP Group Take.
It is proposed that the revised GSP Group Correction Scaling Weights be implemented on 1 April 2014. Parties are invited to review the analysis and its findings and provide comments to Elexon.

Credit Assessment Price consultationRead More
This consultation seeks respondents’ views on increasing the Credit Assessment Price (CAP) to £58/MWh.
CAP is used in the Credit Cover calculation and a change to the value of CAP can ultimately affect the amount of Credit Cover that a Party is required to lodge.

Consultation for Allocation of a number of New Grid Supply Points (GSPs) to GSP GroupsRead More
Elexon has received applications from the Transmission Company for new GSPs at Berryburn (GSP_BERB), Fetteresso (GSP_FETT), St Asaph (GSP_SASA), Stoke Bardolph (GSP_SBAR) and Tynemouth (GSP_TYNE).
The Transmission Company Proposed that these are allocated to the following GSP Groups: North Scotland (_P) GSP Group for GSP_BERB and GSP_FETT; SP MANWEB (_D) GSP Group for GSP_SASA-; East Midlands (_B) GSP Group for GSP_SBAR-; and North Eastern (_F) GSP Group for GSP_TYNE.

Scottish Power are constructing a new Grid Supply Point in Glasgow City Centre, to be known as Finnieston GSP. The Transmission Company propose that GSP_FINN is allocated to the South Scotland (_N) GSP Group. Respondents’ views are sought when assessing the GSP_FINN (Finnieston) GSP Registration.

Delivering Settlement Reform – A consultation on the review project & invitation to seminarRead More
At the end of July Ofgem asked the BSC Panel to provide them with a report by the end of this year setting out how the Panel and industry could undertake a review and reform of the Settlement arrangements (Supplier Volume Allocation) in support of Ofgem’s Smarter Markets work. Ofgem will decide how it wishes the work to proceed early next year.
Elexon is developing the report in conjunction with an advisory group. We have issued a consultation seeking views on the approach, scope, design, risks, issues and deliverables from such a review. Responses are invited by 9 November.
