To keep it reliable, secure and compliant, we run a structured assurance and risk management framework.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\n\t\t<section class=\"section\">\n\t\t<div class=\"centering small\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"section-title\">How we monitor DIP User compliance <div class=\"small-decoration\"><\/div><\/h2>\n\t\t\t  \n\t\t\t<div class=\"section-text\">\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<p>This framework helps us:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>identify and assess risks to DIP and its users<\/li>\n<li>plan and track actions to reduce those risks<\/li>\n<li>detect and investigate potential non\u2011compliance or breaches<\/li>\n<li>communicate clearly with DIP Users about any issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The DIP Manager is responsible for operating this framework and working with DIP Users to manage risks and resolve issues.<\/p>\n<p>We monitor DIP User compliance in line with <a href=\"https:\/\/bscdocs.elexon.co.uk\/data-integration-platform\/dsd003-dip-assurance-and-reporting\">DSD003 \u2013 DIP Assurance and Reporting<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\t<section class=\"section\">\n\t\t<div class=\"centering small\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"section-title\">What DIP assurance covers <div class=\"small-decoration\"><\/div><\/h2>\n\t\t\t  \n\t\t\t<div class=\"section-text\">\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<p>DIP assurance focuses on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compliance with DIP Rules \u2013 making sure DIP Users meet their obligations<\/li>\n<li>Quality and reliability of data flows \u2013 ensuring data is delivered correctly and on time<\/li>\n<li>System and operational risks \u2013 monitoring for issues that could affect performance, security or service<\/li>\n<li>Follow\u2011up on issues \u2013 investigating potential breaches and making sure they are addressed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We use risk registers, operating plans, monitoring, and defined investigation processes to provide this assurance.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\t<section class=\"section\">\n\t\t<div class=\"centering small\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"section-title\">Who does what <div class=\"small-decoration\"><\/div><\/h2>\n\t\t\t  \n\t\t\t<div class=\"section-text\">\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<p><strong>DIP Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>runs the assurance and risk management framework<\/li>\n<li>maintains the risk register and risk operating plan<\/li>\n<li>monitors for potential breaches and investigates issues<\/li>\n<li>communicates with DIP Users about risks, findings and actions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DIP Users<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>comply with DIP Rules and related obligations<\/li>\n<li>respond to DIP Manager requests and investigations<\/li>\n<li>work with the DIP Manager to fix issues and implement improvements<\/li>\n<li>manage their own service providers (for example, DIP Connection Providers)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Service providers (such as DIP Connection Providers)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>support DIP Users in meeting their obligations<\/li>\n<li>are managed commercially by the DIP User (the DIP Manager engages with the DIP User, not directly with the service provider)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\t<section class=\"section\">\n\t\t<div class=\"centering small\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"section-title\">How the framework is structured <div class=\"small-decoration\"><\/div><\/h2>\n\t\t\t  \n\t\t\t<div class=\"section-text\">\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<p>Our approach is organised into three main areas:<\/p>\n<h4>Risk management<\/h4>\n<p>We identify and assess risks using the DIP Manager Risk Evaluation Document (DM RED) and plan actions to address them in the Risk Operating Plan (DM ROP).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/elexon-beta.elexonhostings.co.uk\/data-integration-platform\/assurance\/manage-risk\/\">How we manage DIP Risks<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Breach identification and investigation<\/h4>\n<p>We use defined reporting methods to identify potential breaches, assess them, and decide what action is needed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/elexon-beta.elexonhostings.co.uk\/data-integration-platform\/assurance\/how-we-investigate-and-handle-breaches\/\">How we investigate and handle breaches<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Communication and follow\u2011up with DIP Users<\/h4>\n<p>When an issue is found, we follow a clear process for contacting DIP Users, requesting information, and tracking fixes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/elexon-beta.elexonhostings.co.uk\/data-integration-platform\/assurance\/how-we-investigate-and-handle-breaches\/#:~:text=How%20the%20DIP%20Manager%20communicates%20about%20issues\">How the DIP Manager communicates about issues<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n<\/article> <!-- MAIN ARTICLE ENDS -->","s3_url":""},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.1 (Yoast SEO v27.1.1) -
