P499 Report Phase Consultation: BSC Changes for GC0166: New Dynamic Parameters for Limited Duration Assets
P499 seeks to amend the BSC to reflect GC0166 by requiring NESO to send the new MDO and MDB parameters to the Balancing Mechanism Reporting Agent (BMRA) for publication. Doing so will replace the outdated Maximum Delivery Period and Maximum Delivery Volume parameters. These changes will support NESO in optimising dispatch and operational planning, provide clearer information to market participants, and enable more effective integration of storage technologies in balancing the National Electricity Transmission System.

- MDO/MDB will replace these parameters, requiring BSC updates to ensure visibility for market participants and alignment with GC0166.
