PARMS and BUSRRs sit within the corrective technique of performance monitoring. Supplier Charges and Peer Comparison sit within the corrective techniques.<\/p>\n<p>The reason being they&#x2019;re incentives to perform well.<\/p>\n<p>The monitoring of your performance ensures that the data transferred between agents and suppliers is done so in a timely and efficient manner.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the performance monitoring technique we use PARMS. PARMS itself is the performance assurance and reporting monitoring system.<\/p>\n<p>Supplier Agents produce reports which are fed into PARMS to show how quickly and efficiently they&#x2019;re sending me the technical details and reads between themselves and the suppliers PARMS then collects all of this information and issues five distinct sets of reporting.<\/p>\n<p>It creates auto-generated PARMS reports, peer comparison reports, supplier agent statistics, the SRR and dashboards (or settlement risk report and dashboards) and from these we calculate supplier charges for under-performance.<\/p>\n<p>When we talk about PARMS in the following modules we&#x2019;re actually going to be referring to the PARMS serials which agents submit on behalf of suppliers. Suppliers receive automated reports confirming what data has been submitted by Supplier Agents acting on their behalf. We process this information and extract it for our monitoring processes. Suppliers and Supplier Agents receive confirmation emails each time a submission is made.&#xA0; On the 25WD (5WDs after the submission deadline), Suppliers then receive a Consolidated Report detailing all the data submitted against them for that Reporting Period.<\/p>\n<p>Suppliers that don&#x2019;t provide a complete set of performance data either themselves or via their Supplier Agents by the 20 WD deadline will incur a charge under the Supplier Charges technique.<\/p>\n<h3>&#xA0;<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"panel-title\">What are the performance measures?<\/h3>\n<p>Performance requirements are defined within PARMS Serials. A Serial is a defined area or process for performance measurement and the Standards are the required performance levels within the process.<\/p>\n<div class=\"panel-header\">\n<h3>&#xA0;<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Who&#x2019;s involved in Performance Monitoring and Reporting?<\/h3>\n<div class=\"panel-content\">\n<p>Performance data is submitted by Suppliers, Supplier Agents, Supplier Meter Registration Agents (SMRAs) and the Supplier Volume Allocation Agent (SVAA).<\/p>\n<p>We then provide industry performance information to the Performance Assurance Board (PAB) each month and publish it in a variety of forms, including Supplier and Meter Operator Dashboards, Settlement Risk Report and Peer Comparison Reports.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#xA0;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"panel-title\">What sort of Peer Comparison do we provide?<\/h3>\n<p>There are two types of Peer Comparison: Public Peer Comparison and Non-Public Peer Comparison. The Performance Assurance Board (PAB) approves the PARMS Serials that are published in the Peer Comparison reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Public Peer Comparison reports are calculated monthly and show comparative performance at a Grid Supply Point (GSP) Group level by Supplier ID. Before they are published, the Public Peer Comparison data is circulated to all authorised Peer Comparison contacts for review and is then published on this section.<\/p>\n<p>Suppliers can challenge the data if there is a discrepancy with the data submitted into PARMS.<\/p>\n<p>The Non-Public Peer Comparison reports are calculated quarterly and show comparative performance of Suppliers at a Grid Supply Point (GSP) Group level by Supplier ID.
