The Technical Assurance Agent (TAA – currently C&C Group) carries out the Audit on a Elexon’s behalf through a combination of site visits and document checks on sample populations where the risk or impact to Settlement of an improperly installed or maintained metering system is highest.<\/p>\n
The size and scope of each sample is set each year by the Performance Assurance Board (PAB) on Elexon’s advice as part of the annual Risk Operating Plan (ROP).<\/p>\n
The TAA can also carry out targeted visits in response to concerns about particular metering systems.<\/p>\n
If you are required to participate in a TAM Audit, the TAA will contact you to let you know what action is needed.<\/p>\n
If you are not sure what you need to do, please raise a ticket in Elexon Support<\/a><\/strong>, email tametering@elexon.co.uk<\/a><\/strong>, or contact your Operational Support Manager<\/strong> (if you have one) as soon as possible.<\/p>\n Participation in the audit is mandatory, and failure to respond to or engage with the TAA can lead to Elexon and the PAB taking further action.<\/p>\n Once all the metering systems selected for the main and specific samples have been checked, the TAA delivers a summary paper to the BSC Panel.
