{"id":184993,"date":"2022-05-30T13:35:34","date_gmt":"2022-05-30T12:35:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elexon-beta.elexonhostings.co.uk\/bsc\/?page_id=184993"},"modified":"2024-04-18T13:32:44","modified_gmt":"2024-04-18T12:32:44","slug":"monitoring-the-settlement-performance-standards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/elexon-beta.elexonhostings.co.uk\/bsc\/reference\/performance-assurance\/monitoring-the-settlement-performance-standards\/","title":{"rendered":"Monitoring the Settlement performance standards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"industry-expectations\">Industry Expectations<\/h2>\n<p>All Suppliers below the 97% Non-Half Hourly standard at RF, the 99% Half Hourly Measurement Class C standard at SF and the 99% Half Hourly sub 100kW standard at R1 should be striving to improve performance above these levels and providing updates to their Operational Support Manager (OSM) on the work they are undertaking to do this.<\/p>\n<p>However, Elexon and the PAB&#x2019;s efforts are predominately focused on Suppliers with the largest volumes of non-compliant estimation above thresholds that are reviewed on a quarterly basis.<\/p>\n<p>At its February 2024 meeting, the PAB agreed the thresholds should be maintained at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>850MWh<\/strong> of monthly non-compliant estimation at R1 for Half Hourly (HH) Measurement Class (MC) C<\/li>\n<li><strong>850MWh<\/strong> of monthly non-compliant estimation at R1 for HH MCs E and G (combined)<\/li>\n<li><strong>1250MWh<\/strong> of monthly non-compliant estimation at RF for Non Half Hourly (NHH) and HH MC F (combined)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The PAB agreed the threshold should be reduced to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>300MWh of monthly non-compliant estimation for NHH MC A Export<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#x2018;Non-compliant estimation&#x2019; in this case is the estimated volume above 1% of a Supplier&#x2019;s total volume at R1 (for MC C and MCs E and G) and 3% of total volume at RF (for NHH and MC F).<\/p>\n<p>These thresholds will next be reviewed in May 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In general, Elexon and the PAB intend to reduce the thresholds as industry performance improves.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"error-and-failure-resolution-efr\">Error and Failure Resolution (EFR)<\/h2>\n<p>Suppliers with volumes of non-compliant energy above the thresholds are likely to enter <a href=\"https:\/\/elexon-beta.elexonhostings.co.uk\/bsc\/reference\/performance-assurance\/performance-assurance-techniques\/error-and-failure-resolution\/\">Error and Failure Resolution (EFR)<\/a> in accordance with <a href=\"https:\/\/elexon-beta.elexonhostings.co.uk\/bsc\/csd\/bscp538-error-and-failure-resolution\/\">BSCP538<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Suppliers in EFR for Settlement Performance are required to provide forecast improvements for at least the next quarter.
