We reported to Ofgem that the current P466 Implementation Date was no longer appropriate, this is due to the re-plan of the FAA-R, the FAA go-live is expected to happen after the November 2024 Standard Release. If P466 implementation remains planned for the November 2024 Standard Release then we will significantly increase costs as implementation will be required on legacy systems before transitioning. This will also mean that P466 will not align with the current FAA-R projected Go-live meaning which is the preferred approach as Implementing P466 prior to the FAA-R go-live will put constraints on the November release because of resource; additionally, it would not be cost efficient implementing the new FAA system and P466 at separate times.
\nElexon believe both the original and initial revised approach is no longer suitable, due to the re-plan of the FAA-R.<\/p>\n

The Authority have sent us a Direction triggering Paragraph 2.11.18 of BSC Section F, this sets out that Ofgem may direct the BSC Panel to consult on a revised proposed Implementation Date for a Modification. This is due to the Authority considering that the proposed Implementation Date and the previously revised Implementation Date is, or may no longer be, appropriate or might otherwise prevent Ofgem from making a decision.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t

    What is proposed?<\/h2>\t\t

    The P466 solution involves amending BSC Section N to align it with modern practices and the updated FAA systems. The processes should reduce duplication and make the process more efficient. The proposal also intends to amend irrelevant references that are now redundant, so that BSC parties can more easily understand the BSC Section. The proposed solution will also allow the flexibility for improvements to the FAA systems that would previously have been limited by the legal text.
