SUMMARY:P272 Industry Day
DESCRIPTION:We hosted an industry day to explain the latest updates on P272 and related Modification P322. This Modification\, raised by Smartest Energy in 2011\, introduces Half Hourly (HH) Settlement for Profile Classes (PC) 5-8 from 1 April 2017. P322 requires all Suppliers to migrate their PC 5-8 from November 2015 to April 2017\, submit Migration Plans (SMPs) to the Performance Assurance Board (PAB)\, and provide monthly Supplier Migration Plan Updates (SMUs). \nThe topics discussed included Change Of Measurement Class (CoMC)\, Supplier Monthly Updates (SMUs)\, Metering and Interoperability\, Future Modifications and Change Proposals\, Settlement Risk Criteria and PARMS Reporting. CoMC breakout sessions were also held to discuss issues and best working practices in detail. Download the P272 industry day slides here. \nWe welcomed 75 participants at the Industry Day. Of these\, around 80% were Suppliers or Supplier Agents. Additional industry representatives included Distributors and Trade Bodies amongst others. \nThe feedback received from attendees was very positive. Participants particularly highlighted how they enjoyed the opportunity to share experiences and best practices with other delegates and the open discussions and interaction had between attendees and with Elexon experts throughout the day. \nWe asked participants about what aspects of the event they found most useful: “All of it if I am honest. I have been working on Domestic for the last few years\, so this session was extremely valuable”; “I found the whole day very informative and useful”. \nP272 is having a significant impact on industry and our customers\, so from Elexon we want to do our best to guide BSC Parties through the Modification process until implementation in April 2017. However\, you can still get Wider Access and TERRE updates and developments regarding: \n\nRelease details\nthe derogation request\nBrexit\nindustry testing\n\nView the latest Wider Access and TERRE updates. \nTERRE Stakeholder Forum \n​​TERRE (Trans European Replacement Reserves Exchange) Project \nProject TERRE is part of the implementation of the European legal Guideline on Electricity Balancing.   There are eight European Transmission System Operators (TSOs) currently participating in Project TERRE\, including National Grid\, and those from France\, Spain\, Portugal\, Switzerland\, Italy as full members and from Ireland and Greece as observers.      TERRE will be a system by which these TSOs can do joint balancing of generation and demand using a common set of bids and offers. As the introduction of TERRE is likely to have significant consequential impacts on the BSC and Grid Code\, National Grid has recently raised BSC Modification P344 to define and approve the BSC impacts. \nElexon\, on behalf of the TERRE TSOs\, is pleased to be hosting the next TERRE Stakeholder Forum. This event aims to address the key topics raised during Project TERRE’s public consultation process\, giving participants the opportunity to hear about how Stakeholders’ comments have been taken into account and to learn further details about positions on the project’s design. The forum\, designed as a Q&A session\, will contribute to guarantee the best level of understanding of Project TERRE amongst its stakeholders. \nAgenda \n\nWelcome and introduction\nPresentation of project status\nPresentation of stakeholder responses and TERRE TSO answers to this feedback\nStakeholders’ presentations\nQ&A session\nTERRE project next steps\n\nRegistration \nThis Forum is open to industry members across Europe.
