To be added to the waiting list\, please email events@elexon.co.uk \nWhat is Project TERRE?\nProject TERRE (Trans European Replacement Reserve Exchange) is a European project to implement a new Replacement Reserve (RR) balancing product\, which is being developed by a group of European Transmission System Operators (TSOs)\, including National Grid. The product is required to fulfil requirements on TSOs from incoming European legislation through the European Electricity Balancing Guideline (EB GL). Among other things\, the EB GL requires those TSOs that choose to use Replacement Reserve (RR) (balancing energy products with a >15 minute lead time) as a balancing product to implement and make operational a new European platform for the exchange of energy. \nProject TERRE will enable all TERRE participating Balancing Service Providers (BSPs) (defined as a market participant with reserve-providing groups able to provide balancing services to TSOs) to submit bids to National Grid on an hourly basis to fulfil 15 minute delivery periods. \nBSC Modification P344 ‘Project TERRE implementation into GB market arrangements’ and Grid Code Modification GC0097 ‘Grid Code Processes Supporting TERRE’ seek to implement the TERRE product in the GB electricity market. \nBoth Modifications will be issued for Industry Consultation during January 2018\, and this event will educate market participants about the project and enable questions to be answered by the Elexon and National Grid TERRE implementation teams. \nWhat topics will be covered?\nThe TERRE Industry Day will cover: \n\nWelcome and introduction to Elexon\nIntroduction to Project TERRE – What is it?\nThe detail of the GB solution – from bids to dispatch to Settlement\nImplementation timescales of the product\nThe P344 and GC0097 Industry Consultations\nQuestion and Answer Session with the GB Project TERRE Teams\n\nWho can attend?\nAny interested industry participant is welcome to attend the TERRE Industry Day\, subject to confirmation of securing a place at the event. DESCRIPTION:P348 seeks to enable the Supplier Volume Allocation Agent (SVAA) to provide gross export and gross import data to the Transmission Company (TC) to support proposed revisions to the Transmission Network Use of System (TNUoS) Charging methods under Connection Use of System Code (CUSC) Modification Proposal (CMP) 265 ‘Gross charging of TNUoS for HH demand where embedded generation is in Capacity Market’. \nThe TC currently receives the Transmission Use of System (TUoS) Report (P0210 – Half Hourly (HH) / Non Half Hourly (NHH) split) from the SVAA. the TC uses the data in this report to calculate indicative and actual TNUoS charges. Currently\, the TUoS report provides the “Period HH Allocated Volume” data in the “HHA Record Types” (for Supplier Balancing Mechanism Units (BMUs)) on the basis of demand net generation within Grid Supply Point (GSP) Groups. To facilitate CMP265 we propose that the SVAA report details of gross import and export volumes by inserting two new columns: “Period BMU HH Allocated Gross Import Volume” and “Period BMU HH Allocated Gross Export Volume” into the TUoS report \nThis Modification will introduce a requirement under the BSC for Suppliers that are the registrants of New Embedded Generators to tell their Half Hourly Data Aggregators (HHDAs) which Metering System IDs (MSIDs) relate to New Embedded Generation. They will also be requited to tell their HHDAs to provide Period Metered Data from these MSIDs to the Transmission Company (TC) in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. \nNew Embedded Generators will be defined for the purpose of this Modification by Connection Use of System Code (CUSC) Modification Proposal (CMP) 264 ‘Embedded Generation Triad Avoidance Standstill’.CMP264 currently defines a New Embedded Generator as any Half Hourly (HH) metered embedded generation unit commissioned after 30 June 2017\, where commissioned is defined as the point at which an MSID is first registered in the Supplier Meter Registration Service (SMRS) and first commences generation. \nThe implementation of CMP264 requires both SVA and CVA meter data flows for new embedded generation. It is believed that the Transmission Company already receives the necessary CVA metered data to allow for the benefits of CMP264 to be realised. If this is assumption is proved invalid\, this Modification will require including CVA as well as SVA registered generators. \nFor further details\, please contact the Lead Analyst\, Talia Addy.

DESCRIPTION:The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) is carrying out a cost benefit analysis on harmonising the imbalance settlement period across Europe. A total of four time periods may be assessed: 30\, 15\, 10 and 5 minutes. \nOn Monday 16 November\, Elexon\, in collaboration with National Grid and Energy UK\, will host an industry information day on the forthcoming cost benefit analysis from ENTSO-E that will take place between early November and mid-December. \nThe purpose of this event is to help ensure that UK industry responses are consistent and that there is a common understanding of the issue. P272 introduces Half Hourly (HH) Settlement for Profile Classes (PC) 5-8 from 1 April 2017.  P322 requires all Suppliers to plan the migration of their PC 5-8 across the period from November 2015 to April 2017\, and submit these plans to the Performance Assurance Board (PAB) and provide monthly updates. \nWho is it aimed at? \nWe invite all interested Parties to attend – particularly Suppliers\, Supplier Agents\, Distribution businesses and all those who need to know more about what is required for the P272 migration. We are still working out some of the detail for the day\, but below is a list of the topics we plan to cover: \n\nSupplier Migration Plans: A walkthrough of the template plans\, including help on what information Suppliers need to include in each section\, what to consider when completing your plan and how Supplier Agents can provide the correct information to their Suppliers.
