SUMMARY:P305 Workgroup Meeting 2
DESCRIPTION:P305 has been raised to progress the outcomes of the Electricity Balancing Significant Code Review (EBSCR)\, and proposes to implement the EBSCR conclusions ahead of Winter 2015/16\, which include: \n\nFurther reductions in the PAR value following P304 (50MWh from Winter 2015/16\, then 1MWh from Winter 2018/19);\nA single imbalance price\, calculated using the main price calculation;\nThe introduction of Reserve Scarcity Pricing (RSP); and\nThe introduction of Value of Lost Load (VoLL) pricing for Demand Control actions.\n\nProgression\nNational Grid raised P305 on 30 May 2014. The Initial Written Assessment will be presented to the Panel on 12 June 2014\, where it will agree how to progress P305. \nWe are proposing that the P305 Workgroup should be formed of experts on the imbalance prices and their calculation methodologies\, members of the EBSCR’s Technical Working Group (TWG) and any other relevant experts and interested parties. The first Workgroup meeting will be held on 19 June 2014.
