Apply to join the Stakeholder Advisory Board for flexibility market facilitator
In July 2024, Ofgem appointed Elexon as the market facilitator delivery body for flexibility markets – a pivotal step in enabling clean power by 2030. To support this role, Elexon is establishing a new Stakeholder Advisory Body (SAB). The SAB will ensure strong industry input into Elexon’s work, offering oversight, scrutiny, and advice on delivery plans, budgets, and governance.
We are looking for industry member applications from experienced professionals involved with:
- buying and procuring flexibility services to manage demand or network constraints, such as system operators
- selling and providing flexibility services, including from generators, aggregators, or consumers capable of adjusting their electricity usage or output
- enabling and facilitating the operation or growth of flexibility markets, such as technology providers and data platforms
We are also looking for independent member applications from experienced professionals:
- with deep expertise in energy markets, regulation, or governance
- not working for or related to any organisation that participates in the transmission of electricity, generates, supplies or distributes electricity, or buys or sells flexibility in any part of Great Britain under licence or exemption
- without a direct financial or commercial stake in market facilitator decisions or activities
